Firstly, way to multi-post Venom. That is possibly the most accidental posts I've ever seen someone chain together

 

Secondly, if the God Cards were intended to have be useable in a game (and therefore have effects) they would have printed them with the same back to them as standard Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

And before anyone argues about sleeves: card sleeves are not mandatory. Hence why every single card in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG is printed with a 100% identical back.

Oh yes, there are evil bad guys who take your cards.

The God cards in the card game do not have any official effects and can not be used in any competitions.  Un officially there are many different rules thats can be used to duel for fun, but I not meet someone stupid enough to try and take me on with a god card in my deck

The God cards can used in certain video games.. and thoose rulings seems to be the best; as there not too overpowering.

Was that really worth reviving this thread for? Everything you said there had already been said...

There is an issue on Shonen Jump Magazine that had the god cards' effects printed in it.  I think it was the magazine with Slifer on the cover, but not positive.

I have this issue (as well as all of them up to date), it only described how they related to Egyptology, it did describe them as a reference and even then loosely on their effects, but nothing concrete.

i no that this is over and everything but to stop this arguement ever happening again :

ages and ages ago in a town near me there was a tournement and for the first couple of mounths they aloud us to use god cards and it was rediculous every match there was an arguement about have they got effects or not if they fixed there hand and people were losing because of being immune to evrything (or practically anything) and it was just boring waiting to see who gets the first god sort of like the envoys except the envoys arnt as crazy

so i agree with kyote (sorry if i misspelledit)

oblisk the tormentor - tribute 2 monsters on your side of the field . when oblisk attacks your opponent it deals 8000 points of direct damage.

slifer the sky dragon- this cards attack is equal to the amount of cards in your hand. when your opponent summons or special summons a monster that monster recives 2000 damage. if that creatures defense is less then 2000 it is destroyed.

the winged dragon of ra - 1. pay 1000 life points to destroy all the monsters on your opponents side of the field. 2. tribute a monster on your side of the field to increase this monsters attack by the origanal attack of the tributed monster. 3 pay life points down to 1 to increase the attack of this monster by the amount of life sacraficed. only one effect may be activated per turn.

"God Cards" cannot be used in sanctioned UDE Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournaments and do not exist withing the game. They are collector's items.
